Times Do Change Things

It has been so long since the last time I updated this blog. Feel like writing in English tonight. So, happy reading my nightly thoughts. My mind at this very moment, is thinking about how times do change things.

As some of you may know, I have been married for more than 6 years! Blogging and Facebooking has really been in my life this long. Yes, remember how I met him? Online, guys. Omg! All the turbulences, accidents, incidents, unexpected events, hurtful words, painful heart breaks, buckets of tears, days and nights of crying, it is a wonder, how my partner and I are still going on strong. It is magical. Not fairytale kind of magic, but it is.

Times do change things. There are so many things that I have never thought I would be, I am now. I never thought I would not have even a pair of jeans. I never thought I would be kind of obsessed with doing the dishes. I never thought food stuff arranged not showing their brand names in the fridge would bother me. I never thought I am capable of having 2 sons. I never thought I can do so many things, but I actually can. I never thought I would be so many things, now I am. How 'adopt and adapt' finally becomes crucial in our life. 

When I was younger, I told people here and there about my feelings, my heart. My naive self thought it might solve the problems. My friends might help. Deep inside, I wish for backups. I wish for a knight in shining armour to swing his sword and vanish my problems. I wish I can just stand behind him or her, while he or she is settling the problems for me, BUT TRUST ME. That will NEVER be the case. In fact, it might worsen things up. We might end up embarrass ourselves. Unknowingly, there might be people who are laughing at your back. Your knight in shining armour, is the one you are conflicting with. And you are his.

How? Go figure. Perhaps, we forget good times also happen. When he proposed. When he gives you two Panadol tablets and that sticky thing to stick to your temple when you get headache. When he cooks for you when you say you are hungry. When he buys you gifts. When he takes care of your children for you to rest and sleep. When he massages your sore feet. When he drives so far to take you for your dream vacation. Remember? For sure. There are more good times when compared to bad ones. It is just that we are always reminded of the bad things. Yes, our brain, our mind is tricky like that.

Now, I know I've changed. Why? Coz I know, some things, just don't happen the way we expect, the way we want, the way we hope, not even the way we intend them to happen. In my case, I always expect people listening to me whining again and again, to offer help, but no, no favour can be offered when the problems are inside our house, are between two loving souls who are not seeing eye to eye at that moment. Only. Heartbreaks, pains, will dissolve their way. You two, just keep holding hands, never let go. Be kind. Give time. You and your partner are still adjusting having each other in the same room. It will never be easy, but for sure, YOU TWO CAN do it.

Only remember, times do change things. Bad times, will go. Good times, are coming. Work for them. Pray for them. Tawakkal to Allah. You two have problems. You two solve them. Apparently, it takes two to tango. Cooperate because you are now partners for life. You are now parents to your children. Literally NOBODY else, will help, but You.

How To Be Sincere In Life | It is never easy to be sincere. Even if we are, we will never know the our level of sincerity. At what level will we consider ourselves to be sincere? At what level will we consider others who are not? Can you? Don't have to answer because I am also a human. I know. :)

Human beings lie for so many things. Most of the times, it is all done for selfish reasons. There are also times that we lie to avoid hurting our beloved people and care for our safety. That is how White Lies comes in the frame.

Be Sincere. It Is Always Better.

As difficult as it sounds, being sincere is always the best answer. Lies is easy. But, it will be continuous, exhausting. However, everything can be worked on. We can work on increasing our sincerity. Even we don't know the level, we can sense when it increases, right? :)

Set The Mind

Honesty is always the best policy! The first thing to do to be sincere is to speak the truth. Whatever it is, no lies should come out from our mouth. Always always remember that.

Always look at the bright side

Truth may hurt at first, but bad things will subside. Good things are on their way. The Sun will always shine in the morning after setting at night. Live in the present. That is how happiness is found.

One Lie Leads to Another

Remember. Things had happened. There is nothing we can do to change the past. Lies is a burden that is too heavy to shoulder. The longer, the more hurtful they become. Be realistic. Lying is exhausting. You don't want to be exhausted that started from a mere lie.

Allah Has Determined Everything

Yup, Allah has the key to every movement in life. Hold strong to that. Remember the rewards of making Rasulullah SAW as the ultimate Idol. If He was honest, we must be honest. All the hardships from honestly will be a treasure in the Here After. Insya Allah.

Honesty will always be the best way to live our life. Nothing good comes from bad things including lies and hypocrisy.

We can also choose other dark colours such as blue black, dark green, dark purple and maroon.

2. Wear the right size

Size is something we have to really choose right so that we do not look bigger than our actual size. If you fit M, choose M rather than S or L. A much smaller or much bigger size of clothes that we put on will make us look big. Smaller ones will highlight the parts that we want to hide and bigger ones will make us look shabby and of course, BIG.

3. Put on the right materials

To appear thinner, we should also use the right materials. Go for lightweight soft materials rather than heavy or body hugging one. Heavy materials like denim  can make us look bigger as it is very hard to flow on our body the right way. Avoid the use of spandex and lycra materials too because these two might accentuate the bigger parts of our body. Therefore, go for chiffon or crepe for our outfits.

4. Choose the right pattern

Do know that the patterns also play major role on how we look in our everyday wear. To appear thinner, choose vertical patterns rather than horizontal. Do not forget that the lines should not be too thick also. If you are more to flowery type, choose small flowery patterns rather than big ones. Both preferred patterns will make us look thinner by manipulating human's optical illusion.

5. Pick the right accessories

Choose a longer necklace, perhaps until slightly lower than our chess area to help elongate your bodice for a slimmer effect. For bracelet, use one that is slightly larger than your wrist. If you want to wear a belt, avoid the thick ones. Go for the thin ones to make waist look smaller. Do not forget to use bright colours for the accessories so that people will be focussing on them rather than our body.

I Am Officially A Teacher!

Wowww!!! It has been so long since I last update my English blog. I still love you and all but it is just my life requires me to write more in Malay. Perhaps, after this, I will update more here and I really need to brush on my English. It is getting rusty already.

Most of the time before being posted to my current school, I write for my boss' blog. Yes, I have been working for him even before I become a teacher. Oh yes, I was posted to SK Seri Maamor, Semerah and currently am an English teacher. What a journey. I graduated last year, currently living with my beloved husband in Muar. No more LDR for us.

My husband's sacrifice is quite huge in my eyes. He moved with me from Tangkak to Muar even though he now has to commute Muar-Tangkak-Muar everyday for work. Our previous house only took 5 minutes from his school. Our current house takes 40 to 50 minutes to his school and mine! It means the budget for petrol has increased a lot. Thank you so much husband!

I am now waiting to get my first salary. Once I get it, I want to go to Perodua service center to do some maintenance of my care and settle the road tax. The remaining, I will save for akikah event. Yes, I am pregnant for my son now. Can barely wait for his to get out of my tummy and see his face for the first time. #excitedmommode Hehe.

We rarely meet and each time we meet it will so short that that adapting process does not seem to complete. Then, we separate. Yes, it is true. The loneliness when being married is far worse than being single and feeling lonely. But, the longing is what makes us still holding on. 

I know and I can feel deep inside that we are getting strong everyday. As well as our love for each other. The longing makes each meeting becomes precious. The longing is what makes we know that we truly love each other. Trust, the most important element here.

5 Things Not To Talk About With Your Girlfriend | In general, boyfriends should never talk about physical appearance with their girlfriends. Physical appearance is a very sensitive thing and girls will never be at ease knowing that their boyfriends want her to appear differently. 

Even after her boyfriend asks her to wear baju kurung instead of jeans and tshirts, it is really disturbing. Even though you don't mean it negatively, your girlfriend will think completely the opposite. Even though you just want her to look better in your eyes, not that they are actually ugly, she will not think as you do. Trust me as I am a girl and I know how girls think.

1. Her weight

Her weight is the last thing that you wanna talk to your girlfriend. Even when her weight is a little bit more than other girls especially the one they feel threatened with, she will feel so bad as if it is the end of the world. 

She will not think that you will accept her as she is but rather, she will keep worrying that you will go to a skinnier girl. Never ask your girlfriend her body weight as her weight will never be 'light' enough. 

I am overweight. I know.- Sincerely, Girls.

2. Her skin colour

As a girl, she is quite obsessed of having flawless facial skin, which others own and she thinks she doesn't. When a girl does not have the skin colour they've been wanting, even though what they have is the most perfect for her, it hurts her so much. 

For example, Asian girls are dying to have fair, flawless skin but what we usually have is a darker skin tone. It is actually the best colour we could ever have as we need darker skin for our skin protection under the hot sun, but nothing is enough for us. We always demand for more. Forgive us.

3. Her body figure

Not only her body weight, her body figure is also something that you should avoid talking about with your girlfriend. Perhaps, girls are so much influenced by skinny supermodels but she tends to forget that it is their job to take care of their physical appearance, which is not hers. 

Not everyone has the same job as the supermodels I guess. Actually, I have this one girl friend who I think really has a voluptuous body, but is still not satisfied with her body figure. You don't have to crack your head thinking of the reasons because I myself as a girl don't know the answer. Kih3

Not at all a supermodel's body figure but someone will love me as I am. It is 'you'.

4. Her height

Another obsession of a girl is her height. Influenced by beautiful, skinny, tall supermodels and actresses shown on television, girls tend to dream of having tall lanky body which they hardly get, especially for Asian girls, like me. It will be worse when you are so tall and she feels so timid when standing beside you. So, just accept her as she is and lower your head guys. ;)

Mujagirl is shorter than her younger sister. Is that a problem? :'(

5. Other girls' perfection

The last but not least, DON'T talk about other girls' perfection forever! Don't even let it slip through your lips. Even when you really have the words on your tongue, make them stumble to pieces before getting out of your mouth! Or else, you are actually digging your own tomb and your relationship will be at the tip of a gun!

She is more beautiful than me!!! :'(

As I am saying all these things, it is not that you cannot work on some things that you want from your girlfriend. I know that some things are better for them as no human is perfect in this world. It is just that, you might want to adjust here and there on how you want to convey your messages. 

Remember the Sandwich theory? It might be useful for you when dealing with your girlfriends. Think of how to win your girl's heart! :D

After all, you know your girlfriend the best. No one should ever understand her more than you do. Understand her and you will know how to handle her. It is not easy and it will never be, but do not give up because the result is worth struggling for. 

Her love for you will be the most precious thing and I am sure she is willing to do anything and everything for you. You just have to find the right 'key' to her heart.

Rude by Magic!- Her Parents Disapprove You? - I am so much grateful that my relationship with my fiancee is approved by both our parents. All I can say is, my relationship goes very smoothly even sometimes conflicts happen. Who always creates them? Of course it is me and I guess it is normal for that to happen. Hehe :P

However, I know, not everybody is as fortunate as I am. I am so sorry for you because I know how troublesome and suffering it will be when we cannot be together with our beloved one. I have few people around me who face this kind of problems.

The most common problem is caused by parents who disapprove their choice.  It hurts so much, isn't it? Bear with it guys. :'(

Very sad that I hardly breathed reading this poem. I don't even want to imagine me in the woman's shoes. I will be aching like forever and I don't know if I were that strong to face this kind of situation.

Love Poem- Dear Sweet Stranger | Before we become attached to a person, that person is a stranger to us and I really know how miserable it is to keep everything a secret when we are at the level of bursting out. The first poem, written by my future husband, Nik Nashram, before his love confession. Is it that Ouch! It struck my heart like a bullet. I really hope that you, my readers, will be willing to pray for our future. Really hope that everything planned is going to run smoothly as we wish. Really hope that we will be able to face anything that occurs and defend everything we have built together.

If it still does not go as planned, I really hope that we will be able to accept everything with open heart. I really hope we will be confident and always remember that everything happens for a reason. We know what we want, Allah knows what is the best for us. We as normal weak human, can only hope, plan and work. Allah is still the Greatest Planner.
